Truck Crash Leads to Death of Several Cattle
KANSAS CITY, Kansas — A truck crash in Kansas City has led to the death of several cattle.
The truck accident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. near WB I-70 on 118th Street Thursday morning. The driver crashed through a guard rail on I-70 and went down an embankment, ending up on 118th Street.
Although the truck itself did not overturn, between 30 to 40 cattle were killed or euthanized due to their injuries. Surviving cattle were spotted walking around near the accident site.
The driver of the truck was ejected from the vehicle and was seriously injured. He was transported to a hospital in the area. Police have yet to release his name.
Authorities don’t yet know what caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle. An investigation into the incident is underway.
