Three trucks involved in crash on I-45 in Ellis County
ELLIS COUNTY – A three-truck accident has caused the northbound lanes of Interstate-45 in Ellis County to be shut down for several hours.
The accident occurred around 2 a.m. when two 18-wheelers crashed into each other. A Ford F-250 pickup truck then crashed into the back of one of the semis which was hauling sod. The sod fell over the freeway and took hours to clean up.
Two people were injured as a result of the truck accident and were transported to local hospitals via air ambulance. No one is believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries.
Authorities don’t yet know what caused the truck accident but an investigation is underway.
