Texas truck-motorcycle accident results in fatality

DENTON, Texas – An accident involving a motorcycle and pickup truck has taken the life of a Corinth, Texas man on Wednesday.

Clay Bench, 24, died after suffering blunt force trauma to his stomach and abdomen. He died at the scene of the accident on Wednesday afternoon.

Denton Police explain that the accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. when the pickup truck was heading westbound on Pockrus Paige Road. The truck attempted to make a left onto Fox Sedge Lane when Bench tried to pass it on the left hand side and crashed into the truck driver’s rear door.

Bench was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The truck driver only sustained minor injuries and was not charged in the incident. His name has not been disclosed.

According to police, the motorcycle Bench had been driving was stolen in Arlington in early November. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

    This article is BS. “Although this particular truck accident was not the fault of the driver, the majority of truck-related crashes are.” It was no where indicated in any public report that the driver wasn’t at fault for partially causing the accident.

    If I had to put money on it . I would bet that the driver of the truck forgot to use his turn signal. Because if he was signaling to turn left why would Clay attempt to pass him on the left.. HE WOULDN’T ! That doesn’t make sense. I saw the skid marks. I feel that was. Of Clays fault. It was a horrible accident. Now I’ve lost the love of my life.
