Teen Involved in Truck Accident with 18-wheeler Dies
KATY, TX – A Katy teenager died Tuesday after being involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler.
The teen was traveling in a Ford F-250 with another teen when it collided with a gravel 18-wheeler. The names of the victims have not yet been released. The two drivers were transported to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital with minor injuries.
According to police, the F-250 was heading south on Katy Mills Boulevard and the 18-wheeler was heading east on the Interstate 10 south service road when the accident occurred. The vehicles collided at the intersection of the roads, causing the two occupants of the pickup truck to be ejected. The passenger was killed and the 18-wheeler flipped over. Katy Police are still investigating what caused the incident.
