MONTREAL – A truck accident on Wednesday in Montreal has left a couple dead.
Police are investigating an accident involving a pickup truck that allegedly skid off a westbound overpass that is part of Ste. Anne de Bellevue Blvd., fell on a set of rail tracks, and was then hit by a Via passenger train.
The victims were identified as Luigino and Parissi, both 55-years-old.
The incident occurred at around 2:10 p.m. The couple died at the scene of the accident but there have been reports that someone dialed 911 from within the truck before the impact with the train.
